All Girl Massage gained its popularity thanks to the series of lesbian massage parlor videos.

This adult series seem to be a huge influence for all artists of today but is it the one for the Blood Brothers? Find out below. Is it a good thing? Depends on the context!

They are all incredible musicians and also great people who have been working together for a long time to produce some of the best music in the past couple of decades.

Read on to find out what is each of the members of The Blood Brothers up to now.

Jordan Billie

Jordan along with Johnny were kind of the masterminds behind the whole Blood Brothers project.

Jordan along with Johnny were kind of the masterminds behind the whole Blood Brothers project. He co-wrote many songs and has enough inspiration to fuel other projects as well, that´s why he is the vocalist for Head Wound City (along with Nick Zinner from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Cody Votolato) which is still playing to this day and Past Lives, a band that put out its last material in 2010.

Jordan is still a singer and a songwriter and still married to his wife Zoë Verkuylen and although he is very reserved about upcoming releases, we are all waiting for the follow up to A New Wave of Violence from 2016.

Johnny Whitney

This 37-year-old blonde adrenaline bomb that goes by the name of Johnny Whitney kept himself really busy during and after The Blood Brothers´ years. First, we can name The Vogue, which turned into Soiled Doves. Each band put out a record in 2000 and 2001 respectively. Both disbanded as well.

After those experiences, he went on to form supergroup Neon Blonde with The Blood Brothers´ drummer Mark Gajadhar including some electronic influences in his sound.

Taking on that shift in his career Johnny put together Jaguar Love with Cody Votolato and went touring extensively besides releasing a single, an EP and two records. This is the project that I have the most faith in to see Johnny on a stage again because it is the only that didn´t officially disbanded. Johnny´s future is uncertain and if I have to take a guess, I would say he is going full-on into electronic music. As long as he keeps his energy up, I´ll follow him wherever he goes.

Mark Gajadhar

He got married and still lives in Seattle, Washington.

Mark Gajadhar has not been very active in the music business playing only with Champagne Champagne eventually. He got married and still lives in Seattle, Washington.

Morgan Henderson

Morgan Henderson is, perhaps, the member of The Blood Brothers that kept the busiest in the music industry. He took position of no other than Josh Tillman´s position when he went on to pursue his utterly successful solo project as Father John Misty (which I recommend listening a lot, especially the lyrics).

He has been playing with them percussion, upright bass, guitar, saxophone and basically anything he can put his hands on; he is such a talented musician! It looks like he is staying in that line up for years to come, so Fleet Foxes for Morgan.

Cody Votolato

Cody played in The Blood Brothers and also had a side project with each of the singers of that band.

Cody played in The Blood Brothers and also had a side project with each of the singers of that band. He is also a touring guitarist and producer and has been playing with Telekinesis (replaced by Lance Umble in 2015) and Cold Cave.

Cody is a post-hardcore icon in guitar, so hopefully he will become some other band´s touring member and hit he stages very soon. I really miss his adrenaline, perfect chops and eventual backing vocals most of the time; he is such a great musician.

Conclusion

It is hard to see a band you love break up; I wouldn´t want to go through the same again. What we, fans, have left is the music and the legacy that lives on in each project that the talented former members of The Blood Brothers work on to face the future.

I sure miss going to see them all play live together and feeling that adrenaline rush of seeing Johnny exploding on stage and Jordan doing all kinds of stunts just to sing a song. Music still is at its best when it comes from them, so follow their projects and help me ask the universe for a reunion tour.
