About This Archive

What this is, what it is not, and how the notes are written.

An independent guide to the records, the sound and the live show — nothing more, nothing less.

§ 01What This Is

This is an unofficial fan archive built around the music of [The Blood Brothers](the-scene) — the Seattle post-hardcore band active from the late 1990s until their breakup in 2007. The archive covers their studio records, their songwriting, their twin-vocal approach and the live show they were known for. It exists because their catalogue rewards close attention and because good writing about it is scarce.

Every article here is written from a listener's perspective: critical, specific and aimed at people who either already care about the band or are working out whether they should. The tone is fan-critic rather than academic — no jargon for its own sake, no padding, no reverence that gets in the way of honest description.

The goal throughout is to say something accurate and useful, then stop.

§ 02What This Is Not

This archive has no connection to the band, its members, management or any label, past or present. It does not speak for them, represent them or claim any inside access. Nothing here should be read as official.

There are no fabricated quotations in these pages. When a claim is uncertain, it is written qualitatively rather than dressed up as fact. The archive does not cover the members' private lives or their activity outside The Blood Brothers, and it carries no tour dates, ticket links or news. It is a guide to recorded music and a documented live career — both of which are now fixed and can be written about with some precision.

§ 03How the Notes Are Written

Each article tries to earn its length. Short pieces stay short. Longer pieces go deeper only when the subject actually demands it — the twin-vocal structure, the shape of the songs, the way the rhythm section works. The goal throughout is to say something accurate and useful, then stop.

Release years appear as historical fact. Band photographs and likenesses do not appear anywhere in the archive. Record artwork is rendered as typography rather than reproduced imagery.

If something here is wrong — a date, a personnel credit, a misremembered detail — the archive wants to know. Accuracy is the point. Everything else follows from that.

Unofficial fan archive. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the band, its members, management or any label.
